How do I enroll in a course?
After purchasing the course, if not already logged in, you will be directed to a registration page. You will be automatically enrolled into the course after purchase.
How much time do I need to dedicate to a course?
This is a self-directed course, meaning you can take it at your own pace. How long it will take to create your watch will depend on a number of factors, including: how much time you spend designing, waiting on outsourced components, and creating your dial. With this in mind, we recommend devoting 2-3 hours to the course every week. At this rate, you should be able to build your watch in 3 to 4 months.
What are the technical requirements?
To take this course you need to have access to a computer with an internet connection.
We do not recommend taking the full course on mobile device, as some course modules involve the use of either 3D or graphic design software that is intended to be used on a computer.
Is there any instructor support?
After purchasing the course you will be able to contact the instructor directly via e-mail for advice or support.
Can I access course materials offline?
Not yet. We are working on uploading the course contents to third-party course providers that will allow learners to download individual lessons to access offline on their mobile devices.
Are there any additional costs besides the course fees?
By purchasing the course you will receive lifetime access to all current and future course materials, with no hidden fees or additional costs. However, you will likely incur some costs in building your watch. To make the course as accessible as possible, we show you different approaches at various steps of the watchmaking process.
How can I pay for this course?
Navigate to the watchmaking course page, add the course to your cart, and then press checkout. You will be provided with a number of payment options, including PayPal.
The payment method I prefer is not offered, how can I pay?
If the payment method that you are used to is not available, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly via e-mail and let us know how you would prefer to pay, we will try our best to accommadate you.
Do you offer any discounts?
If you are a student currently enrolled in a trade-school, high school, college or university, and are under the age of 25, we will gladly provide you with a 25% discount code. Simply contact us via course[@]diywatchmaker.com with proof and we will send you the code which can be applied at checkout.
Please note that we cannot apply a discount after the purchase has already been made.
What is your refund policy?
If you are unhappy with the course, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchasing the course after completing a simple feedback form. To request a refund please contact us via course[@]diywatchmaker.com.
